MONDAY through FRIDAY MORNINGS
5:30 - 6:15 a.m.
Zazen with a bell at the half-way point to change posture
6:15 a.m.
Chanting service
6:30 a.m.
Sitting ends
TUESDAY and THURSDAY EVENINGS
6:00 - 6:20 p.m.
Silent temple cleaning (samu).
6:20 - 8:00 p.m.
Zazen with kinhin (walking meditation). Dokusan and private instruction take place during the sitting when Roshi is in residence. There is a chanting service, or sometimes a ceremony, during either the Tuesday or Thursday evening sitting. Please check the calendar for more details.
